9:19am: Well, my hard drive seized yesterday - but for the most part things are back up and running - bought a new drive at Best Buy, was able to cash in some Best Buy bucks, those things are sweet - I would have been better off ordering the drive and cutting the cost by 30% by hunting for a vendor off of pricewatch but well, instant gratification is a crafty temptress.

I made a dumb mistake though heh, I reformatted my media drive - so I need to re-encode and regather my 500 days of music, my anime music videos are gone and I lost some older anime - ah well, I've got a working computer fixed and ready to go - now we can expect Wilma to reintensify and make a bee line to my house =P

kidding aside, looks as if she's stalled over the Yucatan peninsula, hope everyone is able to stayed hunkered down alright - I've stocked up on some bottled water, topped off the gas tank, charcoal, lighter fluid, canned goods, flashlight, batteries and radio - just in case

Got the new fridge set up in place, I'm debating picking up a filter for the ice maker - it's not a bad idea, but I didn't want to buy a pipe cutter only to use it once, so I notched it and ground down the cut in the copper piping with a pair of dikes, and after 2 trips to the hardware store (1st for compression fittings, 2nd for missing compression ring) all while intermittently running Windows Update and looking up various drivers online I was kinda tired.

I should divide an conquer, stop trying to do both projects at once; I'm liable to wrap my computer in teflon tape and stick my old hard drive in the ice box to try and glean any files off it.

In light of everything else that's going on; I decided to hit pause and face fears.

Went to Busch Gardens Howl o Scream - I HATE haunted houses and I HATE roller coasters - what better way to potentially ruin friendships than to grab said friends and go to an amusement park that is well, focused on both.

I think I found some grey hairs looking in the mirror this morning but it was worth it. I had a good time and didn't back down from what I set out to do... pee myself.

Shiekra, Kumba, Montu, Congo River at night and we went through most of the haunted houses too - the girls got kinda clingy which was fun; but then they saw that I was more scared than they were; then they played the protector role while I reverted to thumb sucking -.-

I got soaked on Congo River - I honestly have no idea why we decided to go on it at night of all times - in the past I've gotten a little wet, but I got soaked - I think every splash of water was directed at me - I thought I had decient karma too >.>

I'm proud of myself though - I didn't warm the bench on anything - I went through all the haunted houses and all the roller coasters - and the loss of my voice is the proof - that and maybe the few years that are now missing from the end of my life.

Shiekra scared the hell outta me; but I did it - now to try it in daytime.
